Test (integration) environment

Environments · test environment, integration environment, SIT

Test is a shared environment where the changes of all teams and services are brought together often, daily or after every merge, to check that they work together. QA and automated tests work here; the data is a copy of production or mocks. It differs from dev in scope: dev gets one team’s code, while everyone integrates on test. Test is one of the test stands, and it is almost always there, even where there is no dev.
